Mapping the Landscape of Climate Change in Higher Education Policy in the United States is a new report from the North American Association for Environmental Education (NAAEE) and the MECCE Project. Informed by a review of 764 publicly available policies across all 50 U.S. states and the District of Columbia, the report is a comprehensive analysis of higher education climate change education policy.

The Chronicle of Higher Education DEI Legislation Tracker
The Chronicle of Higher Education's DEI Legislation Tracker compiles information on legislation that would prohibit colleges from having diversity, equity and inclusion offices or staff; ban mandatory diversity training; prohibit institutions from using diversity statements in hiring and promotion; or prohibit colleges from using race, sex, color, ethnicity or national origin in admissions or employment.
Accountable Allies: The Undue Influence of Fossil Fuel Money in Academia
Compiled by Data for Progress, the Accountable Allies project provides a fossil fuel industry donation tracker for 27 U.S. universities, and a complementary publication providing tools and information to hold companies accountable. The publication includes a compilation of research funding donated by fossil fuel companies, polling from Data for Progress that demonstrates that these contributions decrease university favorability, and a policy memo to facilitate a deeper understanding of this complex issue and provide recommendations for universities, academics and advocates seeking to hold both fossil fuel companies and universities accountable.

Part of the World Sustainability Series from Springer, this book focuses on educating sustainability leaders and gives special emphasis to the participation of future generations on sustainability efforts. The book also discusses examples of initiatives coordinated by universities involving civil society, and the private and public sectors.

The State of Renewable Energy In Higher Education
AASHE and Coho published an editable slide deck highlighting key trends related to the adoption of renewable energy in higher education. Based on an analysis of data from AASHE STARS reports and the U.S. EPA’s Green Power Partnership, the slides are intended to be used to educate stakeholders and build campus support for renewable energy.
Energy Star HEBI Summary Scorecard
The Energy Star Higher Education Benchmarking Initiative (HEBI) provides institutions with information on how their campus energy and water performance compares to peer institutions. The summary scorecard for 2023 summarizes performance trends by Carnegie Classification, climate zone, percent residential, and expected energy use based on property types/uses found on campus. It also provides information on the impacts of COVID-19 on campus operations.
White Paper: Assessing Climate Risk and Strengthening Resilience for UK Higher Education Institutions
This working paper from the U.K. Universities Climate Network aims to support higher education institutions to develop processes to assess current and future climate risks, put in place plans to adapt to these risks, and identify opportunities to strengthen resilience. Authored by 19 experts from across 13 institutions, the guidance is intended to be a resource to support decision makers, senior leaders, sustainability practitioners and risk experts within HEIs.

This new report from Student PIRGs is a review of open textbook grant programs across the U.S. and provides recommendations for campuses interested in starting their own programs to expedite adoption of open educational resources (OER).
Survey Results on Higher Education and Research for Sustainable Development
The International Association of Universities released a report of the third global survey on Higher Education and Research for Sustainable Development (HESD), which was conducted in 2022. In total, 464 valid responses from higher education institutions in 120 countries were collected. The findings show that higher education and partnerships are essential to address the global challenges identified in the U.N. Agenda 2030 and the Sustainable Development Goals.
