This guide focuses on the importance of the job description in recruitment, hiring and retention. This protocol is intended to guide practitioners through a race-conscious review of the job description to inform changes that will improve racial equity in the hiring process and success for Asian American, African American, Latiné/x, Indigenous, Pacific Islander, and other minoritized students. This resource was published by the University of Southern California, Race and Equity Center.
Green Communications Workshop Series
Designed for higher education sustainability professionals, this workshop series consists of three one-hour webinars beginning on Oct. 8 with social media. The second session is Nov. 12 on design principles and the third is on Dec. 10 on analytics. The series is being offered by Green LMN.

Education and Climate Change: Learning to Act for People and Planet.
The paper explores the interrelationships between education and the Sustainable Development Goals. It reviews links among formal and informal education and climate change. Based on an analysis of ‘green’ content in the national curriculum frameworks and primary and secondary education subject syllabi of 76 countries, the report also proposes a new framework for a global indicator of ‘greening education’. The new policy paper was co-published by the MECCE (Monitoring and Evaluating Climate Communication and Education) Project, the Global Education Monitoring Report and UNESCO.

The report, released by Second Nature, highlights institutions' varied approaches, responsibilities and actions across classifications and affinities in addressing climate challenges within the higher education sector. This resource is designed to inspire and provide a foundation for collaboration among institutions and individuals within and outside academia.

This American Council on Education webinar discussed how institutions can use clean energy tax credits included in the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act to advance institutional sustainability efforts. The event featured officials from the departments of Treasury and Education and a senior climate officer for the University of California system.

Preparing Future Generations: Building the Conditions for BIPOC/BAME Youth to Succeed in Sustainability addresses the systemic barriers faced by aspiring Black, Indigenous and People of Color (BIPOC) and Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic (BAME) youth sustainability leaders and offers practical tools and resources. The report features case studies and tips from young BIPOC/BAME sustainability professionals who have found success and broken through the barriers to pursue a career in sustainability.

Achieving the Dream’s Equity Toolkit brings together lessons from research and experience working with community colleges to create more equitable institutions, and to help more students complete college and find careers that pay family-sustaining wages. The toolkit provides research, tools and resources to help operationalize equity-centered approaches to all aspects of the college’s work as well as provides lessons learned from colleges that have successfully increased student outcomes and eliminated equity gaps.
Youth-Led COP28 Webinar Series
This youth-led webinar series aims to provide space for young people and experts on different areas of climate to exchange insights from their respective climate journeys, offer one another guidance and encouragement, and cultivate a sense of global community. The participatory program aims to empower attendees to take their climate action to the next level leading up to the COP28 climate conference in Dubai, happening Nov. 30 - Dec. 12.

2023 Survey of Sustainability in Education Abroad Results
The results of the 2023 Survey of Sustainability in Education Abroad reveal significant variations in sustainability performance of higher education institutions that facilitate education abroad opportunities for students. Campus Sustainability Month Promotional Toolkit
Held every October, Campus Sustainability Month is an international celebration of sustainability in higher education. College and university campuses typically host events in October that increase awareness of institutional priorities, celebrate campus accomplishments and inspire sustainability. AASHE provides a toolkit with sample website content, newsletters, emails and social media for promoting Campus Sustainability Month.

The book is organized around four anti-racist community engagement principles developed by the editors as part of their shared work and dialogue with colleagues regionally and across the country. There is an open access digital companion to the volume that include syllabi, agendas, handouts, worksheets and additional resources.
