Education and Climate Change: Learning to Act for People and Planet.

The paper explores the interrelationships between education and the Sustainable Development Goals. It reviews links among formal and informal education and climate change. Based on an analysis of ‘green’ content in the national curriculum frameworks and primary and secondary education subject syllabi of 76 countries, the report also proposes a new framework for a global indicator of ‘greening education’. The new policy paper was co-published by the MECCE (Monitoring and Evaluating Climate Communication and Education) Project, the Global Education Monitoring Report and UNESCO.
