US Youth Delegation for UN Climate Talks

SustainUS invites students to apply to be part of the U.S. youth delegation at the 2018 climate talks, COP 24, taking place from Dec. 3-14, 2018, in Poland. To apply for this delegation, applicants participate in the SustainUS Climate Justice Challenge. The challenge asks for applicants to publicly share their work and stories of resilience with their communities, networks and the wider movement.

Protecting Academic Voice, Intellectual Freedom, and Diversity in an Era of Media Intimidation

This workshop will be presented at the 2018 Association for Environmental Studies and Sciences (AESS) conference on June 20. The workshop concerns the growing media attacks upon academic faculty publishing or speaking publicly on environmental issues objectionable among some political conservatives. The workshop will include personal statements by victims of these attacks, a description of common attack strategies, discussion of resources available to individuals subject to these assaults and the AESS’ contribution to these resources.

Sunrise Semester 2018

The Sunrise Movement is recruiting at least 100 young people to serve for a six-month stint as full-time volunteer organizers from June through the election in November. After a one-week bootcamp at the beginning of summer 2018, organizers will fan out to one of five politically significant states to investigate the impact of big oil on elections, challenge political candidates to refuse donations from fossil fuel executives, and endorse and campaign for specific candidates at the local, state and federal levels.

Citizens' Climate International Conference & Lobby Day Student Scholarships

Interested students can apply for a $250 or $500 stipend to attend the Citizens' Climate International Conference and Lobby Day in Washington, D.C., from June 10-12. AMS Climate Studies Diversity Project for Minority-Serving Institutions

The American Meteorological Association, in cooperation with the National Science Foundation, the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration, and the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, invites minority-serving institutions to apply to learn how to incorporate an introductory climate science course, AMS Climate Studies, into their curriculum. Campus Recycling & Materials Management Practices Survey

Voter Friendly Campus Designation Application

The Voter Friendly Campus designation program is a tool to support higher education institutions fulfilling the requirements of the Higher Education Act of 1965, which necessitates that institutions distribute voter registration forms to their students. The Voter Friendly Campus designation process provides guidelines for institutions to follow in order to create a more voter-friendly campus. Voter Friendly Campus Designation Interest Forms will be accepted until 150 institutions are accepted or April 2.
